“Nord SUD”
NORD SUD is a multiplatform storytelling project that revisits the myths of the NORTH to the SOUTH.
It takes several forms:
– a series of illustrations

Through this project, we have built two journeys linked to each other, one inspired by the myths of the Northern civilizations, illustrated by Saba Niknam, and the other by the myths of the Southern civilizations, illustrated by Elsa Mroziewicz, by weaving strong links between image and text.
We were inspired by existing mythologies, pattern books, photographs, costumes, headdresses, sculptures, and symbols that respond to each other, with a great deal of documentary work beforehand, and thus created an imaginary and poetic mythology with multiple roots.
In the context of the animated short film, the reader-viewer will experience the famous archetypes of the collective unconscious dear to Carl Gustav Jung who, in his book Man and his Symbols, testified to the existence of a “common imaginary, mythical and poetic baggage”, marked by similar characters and models throughout time and space.

À travers ce projet, nous avons construit deux voyages étroitement liés, l’un s’inspirant des mythes des civilisations du Nord, illustré par Saba Niknam et l’autre des mythes des civilisations du Sud, illustré par Elsa Mroziewicz, en tissant des passerelles fortes ente l’image et le texte.
Nous nous sommes inspirées de mythologies existantes, de livres de motifs, de photographies, de costumes, de coiffes, de sculptures, de symboles qui se répondent, avec un important travail documentaire en amont et avons ainsi créé une mythologie imaginaire et poétique dont les racines sont multiples.
Dans le cadre du court-métrage d’animation, le lecteur-spectateur fera l’expérience des fameux archétypes de l’inconscient collectif chers à Carl Gustav Jung qui témoignait, dans son livre L’homme et ses symboles, de l’existence d’un « bagage commun imaginaire, mythique et poétique », marqué par des personnages et des modèles semblables à travers le temps et l’espace.
